Each child is different in their motivation to play, their abilities and their concentration levels. For this reason we have a number of different programs and time lengths to suit each person. • What are the 3 most important questions when selecting your child a coach?

At Vida Tennis we believe the three most important questions are; Does the coach know their stuff? Can I trust him/her? Does he/she care about my child? You can read our article on this topic by clicking here.

  • Does my child require their own racquet for the lesson?

No, we are able to loan a racquet for your child’s lesson. Once your child has started lessons we encourage the child to have their own racquet so they can play away from their lesson. Also remember the right size racquet is important at a young age. Your Vida coach can help you select the right size, weight & grip.

  • Where do I get a tennis racquet from?

Your Vida coach is able to organise a racquet for you and have it ready for your next lesson. Speak with your Vida coach on your first intro session.

Vida Tennis have a number of locations for you to choose from (click here to view locations) and lessons are held each night after school, weekends, before school and some weekday mornings. You will see on our registration form an option to select “same time and same day” as last term. You can fill this in and get it back to your Vida Coach or let them know you will be continuing before the end of the current term. If you require a change to session type, day or time, please speak with your coach and we will make every effort to accommodate you.

  • Why do you use Video Analysis in many of the coaching lessons?

Kids learn differently, but one of the most common and best forms of learning is Visual. Video analysis gives the player the ability to see themselves play and compare with their previous images and/or professionals. This enables the player to understand where they are currently and where they are aiming to progress to. Its also builds up a mini library of data on the improvement and changes over time for each individual.

The role of the parent in a child’s sport in an important one. We have a lot of content to help you understand your role and guide you through the process. You can find this info on the following two links; Vida Parent Policies and Vida Parental Info
