Vida Connecting Communities
Community is a key element of Vida’s core values. Engaging, growing, and connecting with people in our community through tennis is what we are passionate about. We run a variety of programs and work with a number of local organizations to foster connecting communities.
If you are a local community group and would like a tennis experience together, please feel free to contact us. We can tailor a one-off, or multi-session program to suit your needs. There are also club programs for any members of your group to continue playing after the initial tennis experience. This is a great way to integrate and connect people who would like to get involved with our tennis community.

Vida Connecting Community Program Overview
Check out an overview of the current and future community programs.
Sport is culturally significant in our society and plays a key role in bridging diversity and making our city the great place it is. Vida Tennis is excited to be an active part of connecting people through tennis with our program Connecting Cultures.
Our vision for this program is to create an opportunity for people new to Australia to connect with and be a part of the local tennis community.
Tennis will become the means by which people from diverse cultures connect and develop a real sense of belonging through shared experiences.
The Program
The Vida team facilitates tennis lessons and social tennis play and helps people learn a new skill or reconnect with the game. The program is open to any adults who are new to Melbourne. It promotes tennis, health, and community connection and runs at various times during the year at select Vida venues. As it continues to grow, we hope to open up more opportunities at all our locations.
While playing tennis is the activity, the real goal is connecting people within the community and the tennis club. Tennis is a sport for life and a sport for everyone. We welcome all new people to Melbourne into our club.
Specific events details can be found on our calendar of events or by clicking the link above to the venue which is hosting the program.
Who is Martin, the program leader?
Martin has been with Vida Tennis for two years since his arrival from Argentina. He is an accomplished tennis coach, but, more importantly, he is passionate about people and helping everyone feel welcome, included, and inspired. His positive attitude is contagious and has led to Vida’s aim of implementing the program across all venues.

More information to come.
The Advantage Girls Program was started by female industry leader Ashleigh Richardson to provide an opportunity for females to experience, grow, and follow their own tennis journey, no matter what their goals are.
Past programs have included;
- The Advantage Girls Tournament Camp. Ashleigh took a team of girls to Bendigo for a tournament camp to help develop independence, experience traveling with a team, work together, and supporting each other while, training, and playing matches. This learning experience helped to foster an environment for girls to get the best out of themselves.
- The Advantage Girls Hotshots Tennis Program was the second installment. The aim was to create and encouraging positive behaviors for young girls while learning tennis.
- The Advantage Girls Transition Program was designed to provide an opportunity for young female adults to continue their tennis journey, no matter what their goals are.
