The 2021 Essendon Tennis Club July JDS will be a Junior Development Series (JDS) Tennis Victoria sanctioned events. The JDS events are a group of tournaments for beginner to intermediate players. These tournaments are conducted around Australia and are designed to give players their first experience in playing a series of tournaments. These events do not attract national ranking points but are a great lead into JT points events.

Players in this tournament are able to enter one singles and one doubles event in the same age group. All events will be round robin to enable more matches.

This tournament will be played at the Altona Tennis Club.

All ages groups are Round Robin

All singles and doubles age groups will be round robin.

Balls

8&U age group will use Orange ball,  10&U age group with use the Green Ball. All other ages groups will use the yellow hardball.

Doubles

You can nominate your partner or enter partner required.

Scoring Formats

To be determined once entry numbers are finalised. Scoring formats may vary per age group to maximise the court time for all players.

Practice

The venue will be open from 8.00am each morning for practice until matches start. We will ask you to bag and vacate the courts at 8.45am in preparation for 9am matches.
